Cara Piske

I am a Master's student working with the Mountain Ecohydrology Group and the University of Nevada Reno. The Critical Zone has been an important backbone of my research. My current project focuses on the feedbacks between canopy structure and snowpack using light detection and ranging (lidar) data from the Sierra Nevada. My goal is to determine how fire-resilient forest structures impact snowpack accumulation and retention.
