DYNAMIC WATERI am investigating the interaction of carbon and nitrogen cycling and silicate weathering under changing snowmelt conditions in the Sagehen Creek Watershed. By using reactive transport models, which integrate hydrologic flow and chemical reactions in the soil and groundwater, I am hoping to answer questions about how a warming climate will impact stream chemistry through shifts in when, and where, dissolved organic carbon is produced and consumed in the watershed.
