Whendee Silver is an ecosystem ecologist working on drought and hurricane impacts on tropical forests, climate change mitigation potential of grasslands, and greenhouse gas dynamics of peatlands and wetlands. Silver has been leading projects at the Luquillo Critical Zone Observatory and currently serves as a co-PI on the Geomicrobiology and Biogeochemistry CZCN Cluster.
