I am an interdisciplinary critical zone scientist and educator. My research is primarily focused on how and why ecosystems respond to hydrologic variability, including droughts. In the classroom, I work on improving data science skills and data literacy for all students. I joined the Bedrock CZN as a Postdoc at the Colorado School of Mines to study how subsurface features control forest resilience to drought. I am continuing that work as an Assistant Professor at Roger Williams University, where I involve undergraduates in critical zone research using satellite, geophysical, and ecohydrological datasets
