DRYLANDS
I use geophysics to investigate the shallow subsurface and groundwater systems of the El Paso region, in addition to the seismotectonics of Alaska. I also conduct research related to geoscience education and outreach. I am a fellow of the Geological Society of America, a recipient of the Seismological Society of America's Distinguished Service Award and the University of Texas Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award.
