Dr. Bruce Rhoads is a Professor of Geography and Geographic Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on the geomorphology of rivers. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed scientific papers. He has been a Guggenheim Fellow, and has received both the GK Gilbert Award for Excellence in Geomorphic Research and the Distinguished Career Award from the Geomorphology Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Association of American Geographers.
