CZNet Spotlight: Online Town Hall at AGU

Be sure to save the date for our upcoming Early Career Critical Zone network-of-networks town hall, to be held virtually Dec 8, 12:45-1:45 PM CST as part of the AGU Fall Meeting.

The town hall titled “Transforming Critical Zone Research Through Shared Science, Tools, Data, and Philosophy” is geared towards sharing outcomes synthesized from the three AGU early career critical zone workshops, two CUAHSI cyberseminar series and related activities, and to contribute to the future of a global critical zone effort. The broader goal is to engage the community to advance modes of collaboration across critical zone (CZ) networks.

Through presentations from scientists and program managers across different agencies and critical zone networks, this town hall is focused towards: (1) summarizing where the lack of a global critical zone effort comes at a substantial cost to the CZ community; (2) assessing needs and challenges to easily share data, sensing and modelling tools across networks; and (3) discussing partnerships and modes that could maximize the ability of the next-generation scientists to address high-priority science questions in the CZ.

We look forward to seeing you there!
