Announcing the 2022 Fellows of the National Water Center Innovators Program Summer Institute

CUAHSI is pleased to announce that they have awarded 22 fellows for the National Water Center Innovators Program Summer Institute (SI). SI was canceled in 2020 and 2021, due to the pandemic, so it is with great excitement that they were able to award so many qualified applicants and to be able to re-launch this program, safely, and in-person. The 2022 program fellows will once again make their way to the National Water Center in Tuscaloosa Alabama for a 7-week experiential learning program.

The awardees, M.S. and PhD students from a wide range of U.S. universities, will work together to advance the mission of the National Water Center and will conduct research in themes relating to:

  • Coupling Inland and Coastal Hydraulics, supporting the goal of summit to sea water prediction
  • The NWC’s Next Generation Hydrologic Model Framework development and evaluation
  • Hydroinformatics, including machine learning, for water prediction and analysis
