LARAMIE RANGE

The Laramie Range site, located on the eastern edge of the Rockies in Wyoming, is similar to the Gordon Gulch site (CO) in both climate and bedrock composition/origin. But, unlike Gordon Gulch, it has only moderately fractured bedrock. It is the coldest and driest of our sites, and vegetation varies from a sagebrush steppe to a mixed conifer forest as elevation increases.
