Praveen Kumar will be recognized as a member of the new American Geophysical Union Class of Fellows at the AGU's Fall Meeting, San Francisco, Calif.

The American Geophysical Union will present the 2015 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Class of Fellows this fall, including Professor Praveen Kumar of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Kumar is also director of the IML-CZO.

Being elected a Union Fellow is a tribute to those AGU members who have made exceptional contributions to Earth and space sciences as valued by their peers and vetted by section and focus group committees. This honor is bestowed on only 0.1% of the membership in any given year.
