The Redondo Dome and Valle Grande in the Valles Caldera National Preserve.

The Catalina-Jemez CZO partners with federal and state land management agencies, enabling cutting-edge science to inform resource management decision making.

CZO resource management partners include the Coronado National Forest (Arizona) and the Valles Caldera National Trust (New Mexico), for research conducted in the Santa Catalina Mountains and Jemez River Basin, respectively.  Since the CZO sites are situated in mountain ranges that deliver water to metropolitan areas including Tucson, Phoenix, Albuquerque and El Paso, the research has implications for the public residing in semi-arid southwestern US cities in general.
